Description
This one of a kind woven textile bag was handmade and designed by the Shipibo Conibo, who live in Peru, in the Ucayali River basin, a feeder for the Amazon River.
The Shipibo see and hear patterns in nature and reproduce them in both song and design. These patterns hold specific energies, and each design is also a healing msucial melody, called an Icaro. Both the design element and the Icaro work cohesively to bring the power of the cloth’s healing and blessing. These cloths can be hung, framed, placed on tables, used as an altar cloth, or even incorporated into clothing.
This textile bag is woven on both sides, is lined, and includes a zipper closure, as well as both exterior and interior zippered pockets. It is sturdy, functional, well-made, and one of a kind.
bag measures 12 x 13
strap measures 49″
