Description

This one of a kind woven textile bag was handmade and designed by the Shipibo Conibo, who live in Peru, in the Ucayali River basin, a feeder for the Amazon River.

The Shipibo see and hear patterns in nature and reproduce them in both song and design. These patterns hold specific energies, and each design is also a healing muscial melody, called an Icaro. Both the design element and the Icaro work cohesively to bring the power of the cloth’s healing and blessing.

This textile bag is woven on all sides, with an additional design on the bottom. It is lined, and includes a tie closure, as well as an interior zippered pocket, and an adjustable strap. It is sturdy, functional, well-made, and one of a kind.

bag measures 10″ in length with a 8″ round bottom
