Description
These beaded earrings were made by a Huichol artisan in Mexico. The earrings measure about 2.0 inches long and 1.0 inches wide.
Teh-Kah or horned toads are trusted confederates of the shamans. Their ability to squirt blood from their eyes grants them special honors.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF COLORS:
WHITE – Cloud Spirits.
GREEN – The Earth, the Heavens, healing, the heart, grandfather, growth.
YELLOW – A special root from Wirikuta used for face paint in ceremonies.
